Ashanti Douglas is also referred to as Ashanti and is born in Glen Cove New York United States on October 13th 1980. She is a singer, songwriter from America and actor. Tina Douglas, her mother, is a retired teacher of dance. Ken-Kaide Douglas is her father. Kenashia Schia Douglas, her younger sister, is older. Douglas chose the name Ashanti in honor of the Ashanti Empire where women enjoyed power and influence. Douglas hoped Ashanti would emulate this. Hey Baby, After the Club (released on radio as well as digital formats) was released on October 16 in 2008. Also, she was in the films Christmas in the City, Army Wives and Latasha Monteclair. Aitch was one of the British musician, sampled her track Rock wit U for Baby on 10 March 2022.
